Design Philosophy

Integrity above all. I have been working with builders and architects for over 20 years. We rely on each other and have a mutual goal so that the client is comfortable in the process and thrilled with the results. The ultimate compliment is when the trades recommend you as their designer of choice.

Areas of Specialty

Residential and commercial, from the whole space floor to ceiling and everything in between. Including: art, accessories, furnishings, lighting, flooring, and custom window treatments.

What serves as your inspiration?

My earliest inspirations came from my surroundings. Living in the city of Boston, Massachusetts with all its architecture and history has inspired my greatly. From the statues in the Boston Common to the Brownstones along the Charles River and Beacon Hill.

Later, I grew to love the tranquility of Cape Cod and the island beaches of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. Now, I am so thrilled to be in Naples with the weather, the palm trees everything is so beautiful.

How do you incorporate clients existing items into the plan?

Usually clients have cherished pieces; antiques, artwork, clocks, mirrors and furniture that add character and meaning to the space. It isn’t necessary to discard everything and start new, although sometimes that is what a client requests.

How do you work to develop and define your clients’ personal taste?

I have my clients fill out a form and submit magazine photos on the first or second meeting. Listening is critical to creating a space that reflects the clients’ taste. The different styles of my clients are then reflected in my work.

It seems like many people struggle with which colors and treatments to use for their walls. Any hints?

Color consultation is a large part of my business. Color or the absence of color sets the space apart. I incorporate paint, faux finish techniques and natural light, LED and incandescent lighting in order to dramatically change a room.

What is your Fee Method?

I offer a complimentary consultation which is either in the client’s home or at Miromar Design Center. My design fee is incorporated in the purchase price of goods sold. An hourly fee is available if requested and it depends on the scope of the job.
