The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Florida Southwest Chapter will host the ever popular 2014 Fall Lecture Series with distinguished architectural guests speakers who are recognized both nationally and internationally. All who are interested in the built and natural environment will appreciate these annual lectures.

Guest Speaker: Michael Pyatok, FAIA Pyatok Architects, Inc.
An honors graduate of Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, Michael Pyatok has designed over 35,000 units of affordable housing for lower-income households in the US, 5000 in the Philippines, and 1500 in Malaysia, since opening his office in 1984. As leading international authority on housing he has won over 150 local and national design awards for his work.
In 2007 Builder Magazine and the NAHB named him as one of the 50 most influential people in the US housing industry and in 2013 the AIA National awarded him the Thomas Jefferson Award for Public Architecture in recognition of his national contribution to the design of affordable housing. He has published articles about affordable housing, urban design, neighborhood planning and community participation in the US, Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Japan.
